Backing bearings are particularly thick outer ring of the rolling bearing, when used to form a group to be mounted on the shaft of a stationary support rollers. Pressure on the work roll through the intermediate roller and the support roller is passed to the system to the rack through the saddle. Generally used for multi-roll cold rolling mill equipment can also be used for other occasions, such as straightening machine.
